Wether you put an 02a vr6 trans or a corrado g60 trans or even an 02j pump duese TDI swap This is the cable you need to make your stock mk2 cluster turn. I screw in an allen bolt to center the gear puller I've got a complete 02J setup from an 05 Audi A3 1.9tdi which on trial fitting looks like it will all work fine, however the gearbox cable bracket from the Audi will not fit on the 02A gearbox as. I'm also changing out the gear linkages and shifter tower to newer 02J parts. This one is from sears and I have not chipped a tooth yet on 5th gear but I've seen a VW tech chip some teeth before using the actual VW tool I have had to grind the prongs on the gear puller to fit between the case and the 5th gear.
